How does Hydrafacial work?

HydraFacial is a Six steps treatment which includes the following stages:

Step 1 – Detox
A specially formulated lymphatic drainage technique helps increase circulation, eliminating toxins.

Step 2 – Cleansing & Exfoliation
Removes your dead skin cells using Vortex technology

Step 3 – Light Skin Peel / Brightening Agent
A gentle glycolic and salicylic solution helps loosen debris from your pores, brightening your skin.

Step 4 – Extraction
Blackheads and impurities in congested areas are extracted using honey extract and salicylic acid.

Step 5 – Hydration
A combination of hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and peptides replenish, plump and hydrate your skin.

Step 6 – Rejuvenation
LED light is used to stimulate collagen and also reduces redness, leaving your skin glowing.

The process itself works by:

Cleansing and peeling: The process begins by removing the dead skin on the outer layer of the face with gentle exfoliation and resurfacing

Extraction and hydration: Next, debris is removed from the pores using gentle suction and the skin is hydrated with nourishing and intense moisturisers

Fusing and protecting: Finally, the skin is saturated with antioxidants and peptides to enhance its radiance and appearance

The procedure requires no downtime and normal activities can be performed immediately after treatment. Most patients see results of glowing, radiant skin  immediately which last for up to seven days. While one treatment does help reduce the appearance of faint lines and wrinkles, dis-coloration, and clogged and oily skin, multiple treatments are often necessary to maintain the rejuvenated effects and promote the healthy revitalisation of the skin.

First Health Signature HydraFacial
Exclusive to our Clinic, this is an intensive 30-minute treatment which will immediately give you brighter and clearer skin whilst reducing oil. The treatment is tailored to either target fine lines and wrinkles with Dermabuilder which is proven to stimulate collagen and reduce wrinkle depth, or effectively treat pigmentation with Britenol.

Dermabuilder Treatment
Helps tackle wrinkles without the use of injectables. This treatment involves the same six stages as HydraFacial Platinum but also includes an anti-ageing serum. The anti-ageing serum targets fine lines and deep wrinkles for a youthful, plumping effect. See instant improvement in skin elasticity and overall complexion.

Acne HydraFacial
Involves the same six stages as HydraFacial Platinum but also includes a Glysal Peel. This treatment will help to improve the appearance of acne and acne scarring and regulate oil levels caused by excess sebum. The strength of the peel will be tailored to your needs.

Acne Pro HydraFacial 
This helps to clear existing acne and prevent future breakouts. A TheraClear  is used to kill acne-causing bacteria, while a vacuum lifts remaining dirt and debris from the affected area, thoroughly cleansing each pore. The Acne Pro treatment is only available at First Health as we are the only skin clinic to combine HydraFacial with TheraClear.
